Jan Boyd has spent more than two decades leading digital transformation and editorial strategy across public media and local broadcast journalism, with a career defined by audience growth and award-winning storytelling. As Chief Content Officer at Rhode Island PBS, she led work that earned 36 Emmy nominations in two years. Across her career, the teams she has built and guided have won multiple Emmy, Edward R. Murrow, Society of Professional Journalists, and Telly awards. Earlier roles include leading digital strategy at Oregon Public Broadcasting and holding senior digital and editorial positions at NBC and Belo. Today, Jan is principal of Boyd West Media, a content strategy and marketing consultancy working with media organizations, professional services firms, and entrepreneurs to grow audiences, sharpen their public presence, and build sustainable businesses. She holds a degree in international studies from the University of Washington and an MBA from the University of Texas.
